Run Santa Monica

If you're one of the people who loves running at the beach, the Santa Monica State Beach offers a 3.5 miles scenic route for your running activity. Santa Monica has always been my favorite beach to run at. One of the reasons why is because of the scenic route along both sides. Second to that are the friendly runners along the route to keep me motivated.

Running is one of the best exercise for your fitness activities. It increases cardio and build agility. Same goes with leg muscles and body movement, these elements help you stay lean and fit.

For me, a good morning run would start around 6:00 or 6:30. It is best when the sun is not out. Try to avoid running between 11:00AM - 3:00PM. Otherwise, you'd be running directly under the sun which is not very good for you. But to some others, the love of the sports has no barriers, so more power to them if they want to run anytime they want. Also remember, part of your exercise is stretching so remember to stretch before you run and after you ran to relieve those muscle tensions in your legs and calves. It also one way to avoid injuries.

My run starts with a light walk, increasing to a jog, then my legs will take over to find their running pace. And from there, I concentrate on my breathing pattern and focus on the road ahead of me. Every single time when I write about running, I can't help myself to chuckle because honestly, the first time that I started out running I cannot even run a block. I literally cried when my shins were hurting too much. And what I didn't know was that my legs were trying to break in, and that the muscles were expanding to form their shapes. When I was training for a 10K (6 miles), I thought I needed to bring an inhaler because I was afraid I can't breathe. And now, after a year of running, an 8-miler seems to be at ease. If you ask me, we were born to run, our legs are long for a reason.

Did you know the best part about running is that it releases dopamine, endorphine, and serotonin to your brain? These are the chemicals that make you feel good. You feel more positive, more confident, more sociable, and you are simply just 'happy'. And yes, you can meet these happy chemicals by running 30 to 45 minutes. The consistent releases of these chemicals will have a positive affect in both your professional and personal lives. You will notice it when they hit.
